Hello?
USA Today reports that the number of cancer patients and survivors will grow 55% by 2020. Too bad George Bush's proposed 2008 budget cuts funding for cancer research for the first time in 30 years.
Life after cancer treatment. Trying to live like I'm cured.
I hope this blog will attract other people who are grappling with life after cancer treatment, other people who are fingers-crossed cured and attempting to move on with their lives. The backstory: I was diagnosed with cancer in April 2005. I was a happily married newlywed of 7 months and looking forward to starting a family. I completed active treatment in July 2006-- the path to a cure included two surgeries, 8 rounds of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation and a year of a miraculous wonder-drug called Herceptin.
